1. About the Service
Transcribily is a private, offline-first voice recording and transcription app developed by Romeo Betances. Transcription runs entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You are responsible for using the app in compliance with your local laws and regulations.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
- Authentication and account sign-in are provided through Firebase services.
3. Acceptable Use
- Use the app only for lawful purposes.
- Do not attempt to misuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with app functionality.
- Do not use the app in a way that harms other users, systems, or service integrity.
4. Audio and Transcription Data
Audio processing is intended to occur locally on your device. Transcribily does not upload or store your recordings or transcript content for transcription purposes.
If you choose to save recordings or transcripts, storage is handled on your device and managed by you within the app.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple App Store or Google Play, and entitlement sync may be handled through RevenueCat.
- Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by your app store provider.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple or Google account settings.
6. Third-Party Services
Transcribily relies on third-party services such as Firebase and RevenueCat.
Your use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
7. Intellectual Property
The app, branding, and related materials are owned by the developer unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, distribute, or exploit app content except as permitted by law.
8. Disclaimers
- The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- Transcription accuracy may vary based on audio quality, language, and device performance.
- No service can be guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free at all times.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Transcribily and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. Access may be limited or terminated if misuse, abuse, or violations of these terms are detected.
11. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Transcribily after updates means you accept the revised terms.
