1. Information We Collect
Transcribily collects and processes only the minimum information required to operate the app. We do not store or review your transcription content on our own servers.
- Email address: Used solely for authentication via Firebase.
- Real-time audio: Processed locally on your device to generate transcriptions. The app does not upload, store, or transmit your recordings to any server.
- Transcript and note text: Created and stored on your device. It leaves the device only if you allow Cloud AI (see section 4).
- Subscription data: Managed securely through RevenueCat.
- Technical data: App version, device info, and crash/error logs to improve performance and stability.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate high-accuracy transcriptions.
- To provide AI features on your transcripts (titles, summaries, tags, translations, chat and other tools).
- To maintain your account and subscription status.
- To improve app performance, stability, and overall experience.
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized use.
3. How Audio Is Handled
Your audio is processed entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server. We do not have access to your audio, transcription content, or any part of your recordings. Transcribily does not upload or store your audio in the cloud.
If you choose to save your sessions, they are stored in encrypted local databases on your device. We never receive your transcription data on our own servers.
4. AI Features and Third-Party AI Processing
AI features run on your device whenever possible (Apple Foundation Models, or an on-device model downloaded by the app). When on-device AI is unavailable or cannot complete a request, the app can use a third-party cloud AI service instead — only after you allow it in the in-app prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings → Cloud AI.
- What is sent: the text of the transcript or note you are working with, and any question or instruction you type for an AI feature. Audio recordings are never sent.
- Who receives it: Groq, Inc. (GroqCloud API, United States).
- How it is used: solely to generate the result you requested (for example a title, summary, translation or chat answer), which is returned to the app and stored on your device.
- Protection: we share this data only with providers whose terms require them to protect it with the same or equal protection as described in this policy. Groq processes the data under its own privacy policy.
If you do not allow Cloud AI, no transcript text is sent to any third-party AI service.
5. Third-Party Services
Transcribily relies on trusted services to operate securely and effectively:
- Firebase: Authentication and analytics.
- RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase management.
- Groq: Cloud AI processing, only if you allow it (see section 4).
6. Security
We apply security measures such as encryption, access control, and internal audits to protect your information. While we work hard to safeguard your data, no system can guarantee 100% security.

You may request:
- Access to your data
- Correction or deletion of your personal information
- Permanent closure of your account
